Supporting Women & Birthing People in Fresno County
Did you know Black women are three to four times more likely to face complications during childbirth than white women?
The EMBRACE Community Dissemination Pilot is a community engagement effort to help address gaps in communicating critical information regarding prenatal care disparities of Black women and birthing people in Fresno County. Main EMBRACE Study findings will be available in late 2025.
The pilot project aims to support Black women and birthing people, as well as inform healthcare providers and policymakers through education and resources. The goal is to help dismantle systemic racism in prenatal health and advocate for a healthier future for all families.
