WHO IS CONDUCTING THE EMBRACE STUDY?
University of California, San Francisco was awarded funding from PCORI to conduct the EMBRACE Prenatal Care Study under the Addressing Disparities category. California State University, Fresno is a sub-contractor of UCSF, continuing an academic and community partnership aimed at reducing preterm birth.
PRETERM BIRTH INITIATIVE
The California Preterm Birth Initiative conducts and funds transdisciplinary research across the reproductive life course to probe risk and resilience factors and to identify promising interventions that can turn the curve on the preterm birth epidemic.
PTBi work addresses questions that have been prioritized by women and vetted by community advisory boards by starting at the root of the issue by redefining the crisis of premature birth through justice and equity.
CENTRAL VALLEY HEALTH
POLICY INSTITUTE
The Central Valley Health Policy Institute (CVHPI) was established in 2002 at California State University, Fresno to facilitate regional research to address emerging health policy issues that influence the health status of people living in Central California.
CVHPI is responsible for the recruitment of participants; on-boarding of participating sites; collection of all participant questionnaire data, engagement with stakeholder organizations, and community.
PATIENT-CENTERED OUTCOMES RESEARCH INSTITUTE®
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute® (PCORI®) is an independent, nonprofit organization authorized by Congress in 2010. Its mission is to fund research that will provide patients, their caregivers, and clinicians with the evidence-based information needed to make better-informed healthcare decisions. PCORI is committed to continually seeking input from a broad range of stakeholders to guide its work.
